Contacting TSA

TSA Contact Center

If you would like to pass on positive feedback or concerns to TSA regarding your experience you should contact a screener supervisor at the airport. You may also contact the TSA Contact Center toll-free at 1-866-289-9673 during the following hours of operation:

Monday thru Friday 8 am - 10 pm EST
Saturday Sunday and Holidays 10 am - 6 pm EST

You may also e-mail us at TSA-ContactCenter@dhs.gov. TSA takes all input very seriously and will respond promptly and appropriately to all complaints or comments.

TSA Office of Civil Rights
If you believe that you have been discriminated against by a Transportation Security Administration employee on the basis of Race, Color, National origin, Sex, Religion, Age, Disability or Sexual orientation, you may submit in writing an explanation of the complaint. Please include: the name of the airport, your flight information, date, and time of the incident, and if possible, the name of the employee. Submit the complaint to:

If you need additional information, you may contact the Office of Civil Rights toll-free at 1-877-EEO-4TSA (4872). You will not reach a live person at this number, but if you leave your name number and best time to call you back, someone will return your call.

TSA Claims Management Office
If you have a complaint about missing baggage, you should contact your airline. Most airlines recommend reporting missing bags at the airport within 24 hours and filling out an Air Carrier Claim Report within 30 to 45 days.

If you have a lost or missing item which you believe was left at a TSA Screening or Baggage Checkpoint, please call the TSA Contact Center at: 1-866-289-9673 or call the appropriate Lost & Found Department.

For all other incidents involving damages for which you think TSA is responsible, you will have to complete TSA Form SF-95. This form can be downloaded from the TSA website (www.tsa.gov) or obtained at an airport checkpoint. Submit the forms by mail to: TSA Claims Management Office, 601 S. 12th Street - TSA 9, Arlington, VA 22202.

If the incident happened at the San Francisco, CA, Kansas City, MO, Rochester, NY, Tupelo, MI or Jackson Hole, WY airport, your claim must be submitted to the airport.
