Maximize your time in Chicago and earn up to 20 MOC credits with this optional, interactive study session in which ABIM-certified physician experts will guide participants through 60 case-based questions (30 questions per module, two modules) that comprise an ACC Module and the ABIM Cardiovascular Updates 2016.

LEARNER OBJECTIVES

The overall goal of this course is to enhance competency in cardiovascular diseases and prepare learners for certification or recertification.

Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to —

  • Identify gaps in their knowledge base and focus study efforts on filling gap areas
  • Summarize ACC/AHA clinical practice guidelines regarding the practice of general cardiology
  • Develop test-taking strategies
  • Interpret ABIM answer sheets to become familiar with the examination process

Cancellations
Cancellation, substitution or transfer to another course is allowed if written notification is received four weeks before a scheduled course. A full refund minus a $250 processing fee will be given for written notifications received fewer than four weeks before the first day of the course. No refund will be given for no-shows.

In the unlikely event that the course is canceled, the College will refund the registration tuition in full but is not responsible for any travel or hotel costs you may incur.

ACC reserves the right to cancel the course in the unlikely event of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a course is canceled or postponed, ACC will refund registration tuition but cannot be held responsible for other costs or expenses, including cancellation/change penalties assessed by airlines, travel agencies or hotels.

The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The ACCF designates this live activity for a maximum of 45.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physician Assistants
The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME.

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) ‘L’ (train) provides service directly to both O'Hare and Midway airports. Machines at the station issue new Ventra Cards or load fare or passes onto cards.

  • O’Hare International Airport: The CTA Blue Line provides service directly into O'Hare Airport. The fully-accessible O’Hare station is situated in the lower level concourse, which connects Airline Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and is conveniently accessed from Terminal 5 by free, frequent airport shuttle trains.
