on Vascular Disease is an online educational activity that

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this program, purchasers should be able
to:
- Describe and apply guideline-based strategies for physical
diagnosis and algorithms for the use of non-invasive vascular
tests.
- Explain cholesterol goals for patients with vascular
disease and counsel patients appropriately on the intake
of dietary fat and offer dietary advice.
- Provide guideline-based lipid-lowering pharmacologic
therapy for patients with established PAD.
- More closely follow the ACC/AHA PAD guidelines and Joint
National Committee VII guidelines in managing hypertension
in PAD patients
- Recite and apply the ACC/AHA guideline recommendations
for the role and implementation of exercise therapy in patients
with intermittent claudication due to PAD.
- Discuss the ACC/AHA and TASC 2 guideline recommendations
for the revascularization management of patients with symptomatic
PAD (i.e. disabling intermittent claudication, critical
limb ischemia)
