OVERVIEW
Are you considering a career or recently accepted a position in academic cardiovascular medicine? If so, you need to attend the How to Become a Cardiovascular Investigator program. This intimate and interactive program is specifically designed for fellows-in-training and junior faculty who are contemplating a future in academic medicine. Through plenary sessions, breakouts, networking opportunities and a dinner program, participants will have the opportunity to interact with the leading experts in the field. Renowned cardiovascular investigators will provide guidance on a variety of topics including the best careers in academic medicine, how to locate the perfect job and the secrets to getting funded.

Taxi fare from Capitol
Hilton to ACC Heart House will be reimbursed to all participants
who stay at the Capitol

Room Rates
Room rate is $159 single; $179 double per night plus state and local
taxes (currently 14.5 percent). The ACC room block will be held
until Tuesday, October 9, 2007. Although the deadline for room reservation
is October 9, 2007, the block of rooms ACC has reserved may sell
out much earlier. We encourage you to make your reservation early.
Check in time at the Capital Hilton is 3:00 PM, check out time
is 12:00 noon. Early arrivals accepted on a space availability basis
only.
GENERAL
INFORMATION
Fee
There is no fee for this program, however, participants are asked to provide a credit card number which will only be debited if the cancellation policy stated below is not adhered to. All registrations must be made in advance. Seating for this program is limited and is on a first-come, first served basis. The program will include refreshments, lunch, reception and dinner with the faculty.
Cancellations
Because of advance planning requirements and the limited seating
for this program, please notify us as soon as possible if you need
to cancel. NOTE: There will be a $50.00 charge for cancellations
not received by Tuesday, October 9, 2007.
In the unlikely event that the program is cancelled, the College
is not responsible for any travel or hotel costs you may incur.

Videotaping, audiotaping and still photography are prohibited in
all ACCF meeting rooms.
