ACC to Collaborate on ‘Network Medicine’ Public Health Campaigns

The ACC, along with the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will be collaborating with athenahealth, Inc. on a series of “Network Medicine” health campaigns. This new effort was announced during the 2017 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition.

The campaigns will focus on primary, chronic and acute care scenarios, including adjusting cholesterol treatment for cardiovascular patients, and will leverage athenahealth’s national cloud network to deploy clinical guidelines and medical alerts to targeted providers and select patients with real-time and developing medical insights, guidance and alerts.
