The Woman's Heart-Health Guide
Women are more likely to die from a heart attack than any other single cause — including breast cancer. If you didn't know that, don't be surprised. According to one national study, only a third of women knew they were at greater risk for heart disease than breast cancer. But the truth is, heart disease kills more women than the next 16 causes of death combined. While many people still think of it as a man's problem, more women than men die from heart disease every year.

Fortunately, knowing you may be at risk for heart disease is the first step in minimizing your risk. What can you do? Plenty. The booklet featured in the December issue of Prevention magazine points out the biggest risks and most importantly, what you can do about them.
