About Us:
The American College of Cardiology created a member community
customized to meet the distinct needs Cardiac Care Team members
in 2003. Since then, a vibrant and growing community
comprised of Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse
Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Clinical Pharmacists from practice and hospital
settings has established itself within the ACC. Cardiac
Care Associate Members serve not only on their own Committee
and as State Liaisons, but also on 37+ standing ACC Committees,
including, but not limited to: publications, continuing
education, cardiac catheterization and intervention committee,
accreditation steering committee, and the heart failure and transplant
committee.
CCA Member Benefits:
Free, premium access to Cardiosource.com. ACC’s
outstanding online publication offers thousands of clinical images,
breaking medical news, The Journal of the American College
of Cardiology, self-assessment products and many other educational
tools and resources.
CME and CE Credit. ACC has been approved to provide ANCC
accredited courses, which means that CCA members who are nurses
will earn continuing education credit for approved courses. ACC
is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education. PA’s may earn CEUs for approved
courses.

Welcome Clinical CV Pharmacists!
As of April 1st, 2007, CV Pharmacists are eligible for CCA membership. As CCA members, Clinical Pharmacists now receive all of the benefits and opportunities enjoyed by their nurse and physician assistant team members. The ACC looks forward to working with you.
