Call for Poster Abstracts!  3rd Annual Integrated Imaging in Clinical Cardiovascular Practice

The American College of Cardiology is accepting abstracts for a poster session being held as part of the 3rd Annual Integrated Imaging in Clinical Cardiovascular Practice at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston from June 7 – 9, 2007. Young clinical investigators and the cardiac care team are invited to submit their research. Deadline for submissions 11:59 p.m., EDT, Monday, May 21, 2007. Click here for additional information.

Fellowship Applications Due May 1, 2007

May 1, 2007, is the Spring deadline for ACC Fellowship (F.A.C.C.) applications. Remember, the ACC's Board of Trustees voted to eliminate the 18-month post-training waiting period for F.A.C.C. applicants. This means that physicians who have passed the CV Boards, have completed their study and are in practice are eligible to become F.A.C.C. Attention, Female Cardiology Fellows

Women are under-represented in the field of cardiology.  Is this true in your training program? The ACC Women in Cardiology Section is reaching out to female medical students and residents in order to encourage them to pursue careers in cardiology.  We need your help.  If you plan to attend the ACC Conference in March 24-27, please join us. See You in New Orleans and Don’t Forget!

Don’t forget to stop by the ACC.07 FIT Community Room, Room 231 at the Morial Convention Center, while you are in New Orleans. The Fellows in Training Committee invites you to attend two sessions in the FIT Community Room. The Community Room Events are scheduled for Sunday, March 25, and Monday, March 26, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Stop by the ACC Cardiology Career Center, too, Rm. 224, Level 2, in Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The Center will be open throughout the meeting for fellows to search for job and meet with employers about potential job openings. The Placement Center is also hosting an Open House on Sunday, 9 – 10 a.m. Stop in for breakfast and learn how to find the jobs you want.
