| Committing to the Full FIT Experience |
Make it your New Year’s resolution to check out the following ACC programs available for fellows-in-training and early career cardiologists. These programs and sites are set up to serve you and their value increases with your participation and feedback. Please take advantage of them to help make 2007 a great year, and give the FIT Committee and ACC staff your ideas for programs and content.
- Fellows in Training on acc.org
Start first with the special FIT community section on www.acc.org.
- FIT Training Room: Virtual Mentoring Program
Sign up for this program designed to link physicians who are considering careers in cardiology, (medical students and residents), fellows who are in cardiology training programs, and early career cardiologists with established cardiologists who are willing to share their knowledge and experience.
- FITForum.acc.org
Start or join a discussion on this new Bulletin Board for fellows-in-training. Share your knowledge and experiences with peers. Build your network of the future. It only takes a few minutes to write a sentence or two.
- Volunteer for the FIT Committee. The FIT Committee has achieved a lot of recognition for its efforts in representing fellows, developing columns for Cardiology magazine and building sessions for the annual scientific sessions. Even if you have only a small amount of time, considering offering to help out and give back to those who have given already. At the very least, contribute ideas or topics you would like to see covered.

Cardiology magazine: Looking for Writers!
|
The Fellows in Training column in Cardiology magazine has drawn a big audience among the full membership of the ACC. Those who have written the columns have worked hard to build the presence of issues related to fellows and early career cardiologists; however, they are asking for some help from others to keep the column fresh and stimulating. Please send your ideas for topics -- and even more important, volunteer to write -- to fellowsintraining@acc.org.
