Estimated prevalence of AF in relation
to age in the United States, based on 4 population-based
surveys. The median age of AF patients is about 75 years.
Approximately 70% are between 65 and 85 years old. The
overall number of men and women with AF is about equal,
but approximately 60% of AF patients over 75 years are
female prevalence, age, distribution, and gender of
patients with atrial fibrillation analysis and implications.
