This document is the consensus statement of a Core Cardilogy Training Symposium held at the American College of Cardiology Heart House, June 27-28, 1994. The report is an update and revision of the 1986 17th Bethesda Conference: Adult Cardiology Training (J Am Coll Cardiol 1986;7:1195-218) and also considers materials published in several recent consensus statements. The COCATS Guidelines were approved of Trustees of the American College of Cardilogy on October 15, 1994.
