Eagle’s Eye View: Your Weekly CV Update From ACC.org (Week of May 29, 2017)

This week's View takes a look at several publications dealing with the cardiovascular care of children, including developments in the world of congenital heart disease. First, a recent study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) looks at maternal and fetal outcomes of the use of anticoagulation in patients with mechanical heart valves. Next, another study in JACC compares surgical versus catheter-based treatments over a long-term Danish study on children with congenital heart disease. A third study published in JACC investigates longitudinal outcomes of single ventricle patients after the Fontan procedure. Finally, the American Heart Association recently published a scientific statement on CPR in adults and children with mechanical circulatory support.
