This week's View focuses on several recent papers having to do with cardiac surgery, specifically a 5-year trial comparing off-pump and on-pump coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), outcomes of transcatheter mitral valve replacement in patients with failed mitral bioprosthetic valves and annuloplasty rings, and a study on the use of levosimendan in patients undergoing CABG to prevent low cardiac output syndromes.
