COLCOT (Colchicine Cardiovascular Outcomes Trial), recently published in The New England Journal of Medicine and presented at the American Heart Association Annual Scientific Sessions 2019, found that colchicine, implemented as an anti-inflammatory treatment, reduced cardiovascular events in patients with recent myocardial infarction by 23%.
