Poll: Another Take on STEMI During the Pandemic
COVID-19 is associated with significant cardiac involvement in at least 20% of patients in the intensive care unit. However, anecdotal reports from cardiologists worldwide have suggested that far fewer than expected ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) cases have been arriving at their centers.
