Cases From an Interventional Imager

National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day
As part of American Heart Month, and in recognition of National Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day on Feb. 22, the ACC Interventional Leadership Council has recorded a series of videos focused on valvular heart disease, including case presentations and highlights from the latest American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association valve disease guidelines. See the entire series on the Invasive CV Angiography and Intervention Clinical Topic Collection. Rebecca T. Hahn, MD, FACC, director of interventional echocardiography at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and professor of clinical medicine at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, shares several case examples of imaging-guided management of interventions, including alcohol septal ablation in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and moderate aortic stenosis, treatment of paravalvular regurgitation with plug, and use of live three-dimensional multiplanar reconstruction to guide prosthetic valve implantation for torrential tricuspid regurgitation.
