Despite premature termination, REBOOT-PARADOX offers rare randomized, long-term data on whether TAVR improves survival vs. optimal medical therapy (OMT) in symptomatic patients with paradoxical low-flow, low-gradient aortic stenosis (pLFLG).
A three-month DOAC regimen after successful TAVR substantially reduced hypoattenuated leaflet thickening (HALT) during treatment vs. single antiplatelet therapy (SAPT) alone, based on NOTION-4 trial findings. However, researchers noted the effect had diminished about nine months after DOAC therapy was stopped.
Uncontrolled modifiable cardiovascular risk factors, including suboptimal cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, may help identify patients with prostate cancer who are most likely to benefit from routine cardiovascular care, according to RADICAL PC-2 findings.
A JACC: Advances Viewpoint examines challenges in implementing revisions to the definition of first medical contact (FMC) introduced in the 2025 ACC/AHA ACS Guideline and their implications for NCDR data collection, specifically ACC's Chest Pain – MI Registry.
