After years of efforts, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) temporarily increased pay for cardiac CT in the hospital outpatient setting starting in 2025. ACC’s Cardiovascular Imaging Member Section recently hosted a webinar discussing what you can do at your hospital to improve cost reporting for CT services. To produce data that can make this increase permanent, imagers need to urge hospitals to change the way they report costs for these services to CMS.
