The future of cardiovascular medicine is today, tomorrow and just over the horizon. The ACC.18 Future Hub (Expo Hall #3517) has been designed to inform, educate, inspire and delight ACC.18 attendees by highlighting the latest innovations in digital health, medical devices and education technology.

Attendees can experience the latest treatments, technologies and therapies through thought-provoking “ACC Talk” presentations, interactive panel discussions and industry partner demonstrations. Fifteen industry partners are showcasing their services, technologies and devices that will help shape the future of cardiovascular medicine. Through interactive activities, Future Hub participants can see how the latest technology might play a role in health care, how it will change their practice and how to leverage technology to improve patient outcomes. Innovative product and service demonstrations include a medical technology/device “petting zoo” with individualized hands-on opportunities.

New this year, the first-ever the ACC.18 Innovation Challenge, in partnership with angelMD, will take place today from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. and 3:45 – 4:45 p.m. Startups from around the country will be pitching products and services in two categories: digital health and medical devices. Sixty-four startups applied to participate in the challenge, with four from each category selected earlier this year to present at ACC.18. Audience members will vote for the winners along with four judges. Both sessions will be broadcast via Facebook Live. Don’t miss this unique chance to hear from the innovators who are changing the future of cardiology practice.

Additionally, the Future Hub Theater will feature the following presentations today: Ways to Master Digital Medicine Research Without Breaking a Sweat; Precision Medicine: Hype or Reality for Cardiologists?; Treating Patients with Structural Heart Disease: What is Coming Down the Pipeline?; and The Future of Valve Technology.
