Top 2019 Invasive Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventional Content

With the end of 2019, we thought it would be interesting to look back at the top five Expert Analyses from 2019 based on numbers of unique page views. They are presented below in descending order, and they are linked in case you missed any of them and wish to fill in the gaps.

  1. Important Trial Results for Interventional Cardiology From ACC.19
  2. Important Interventional Trials From ESC Congress 2019
  3. Length of Stay After PCI
  4. PCI: Risks and Outcomes in Patients With Cancer
  5. Big Data: When and How Will it Impact Interventional Cardiology?

Interestingly, the top two are collections of trial summaries from the American College of Cardiology's 68th Annual Scientific Session & Expo and the European Society of Cardiology 2019 Congress. Each trial summary provides a trial synopsis and commentary, which are helpful for the busy cardiologist, so it's not surprising that these are the most popular.

The following three covered varied topics. The third is a discussion of issues to consider when implementing a same-day percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) discharge program. The fourth is a nice discussion of the increased risks associated with PCI performed in patients with cancer. The fifth and last is a discussion of the impact of big data on interventional cardiology management. Each article is well-written and concise and addresses an issue of importance to the field while expanding our thinking beyond stents and wires.

A special thanks to our excellent authors who make this happen. And thanks to Michelle Partridge-Doerr for her excellent editorial and administrative support.

We look forward to continued success in 2020!
