Welcome to the ACC's Program Directors and Graduate Medical Educators (PDGME) section site!  We are delighted you are here and hope you will take a few minutes to peruse the website.  Our Fellowship Program Tools & Resources page is full of useful Curriculum ideas, Faculty Development, Accreditation documents, and previous Webinars to help support your program.

The PDGME Section members include physicians, fellowship trainees, program administrators, and the multiple cardiovascular team members, all of whom have a common goal: Excitement and Collaboration around advancing the field of education and training of the Fellows in Training (FITs) across the spectrum of cardiovascular disease. Our desire is to facilitate the training of the future cardiovascular physician workforce and to serve as a resource for salient cardiovascular education and training issues.

The ACC PDGME Section members and Leadership Council will work within the College to advance cardiovascular science and practice through research and education, establish training criteria and guidelines and influence health care policy.

As the Chair of this section, I look forward to working with you to continuously evaluate the priorities and needs of our graduate medical education community.  New ideas are necessary to continue our advancement and I encourage you to reach out and let us know your suggestions and if you are interested in becoming more involved.

I am honored and excited to work alongside you as we continue our effort in making the ACC's Program Directors and Graduate Medical Educators Section the professional home for leaders in cardiovascular training.

Please contact Abby Cestoni (acestoni@acc.org) with any questions, comments, or ideas.
