DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nWebinar Overview\nJoin an interactive\, case-based webina
r designed to help medical students confidently approach common cardiovasc
ular presentations encountered during clinical rotations.\nMedical student
s frequently encounter cardiovascular complaints during internal medicine\
, family medicine\, emergency medicine and other clinical rotations\, yet
may have limited experience translating foundational cardiovascular knowle
dge into practical patient evaluation and management.\nThis interactive we
binar\, hosted by ACC's Medical Students Work Group\, will guide medical s
tudents through common cardiology cases using a stepwise\, case-based appr
oach. Participants will work through clinical presentations\, develop diff
erential diagnoses\, select appropriate diagnostic studies\, interpret bas
ic electrocardiogram (ECG) and other cardiovascular findings\, and discuss
initial management and indications for escalation of care. Faculty cardio
logists\, fellows and/or senior residents will facilitate the cases while
providing practical clinical pearls and highlighting what medical students
should recognize and be prepared to discuss on rotations. Tentative cases
may include acute chest pain/acute coronary syndrome\, atrial fibrillatio
n\, acute decompensated heart failure\, syncope\, valvular heart disease a
 nd hypertension.\nKey Objectives/Learning Outcomes: \n\nRecognize the clin
ical presentation and key diagnostic findings of common cardiovascular con
ditions encountered during clinical rotations. \nDevelop appropriate initi
al differential diagnoses and diagnostic workups for common cardiac compla
ints using a case-based approach. \nInterpret basic ECG findings and other
commonly encountered cardiac investigations within the context of patient
cases. \nIdentify appropriate initial management strategies and recognize
when escalation of care or cardiology consultation is warranted.\n\n\nWeb
