The Fellows in Training (FIT) Leadership Council welcomes you to your professional home at ACC! We are excited to have you as part of our community. We recognize the tremendous dedication it took to reach this point in your career and hope to serve as both a resource and a voice for you within the College.

No matter where you are on your fellowship journey, our goal is to provide programming and resources that educate, inform and inspire your career in cardiovascular medicine. The FIT Leadership Council serves as your voice and presence within the College. Through curated in-person programming at national meetings and state or local chapter events, we strive to engage a diverse community of FITs and help you explore the many opportunities ACC has to offer.

Here are several ways you can get involved with ACC and the FIT Leadership Council:

  • Join us on social media! Follow @ACCinTouch, join DocMatter, and search #ACCFIT on X.
  • Stay connected through FIT communications. Watch for emails from our ACC liaison Bethany Parker and keep up with the ACC On-Call FITs monthly newsletter.
  • Participate in the Chief FIT Network (if you are a chief fellow).
  • Apply to join the FIT Leadership Council. Look for the call for applications in Fall 2026.
  • Be an advocate. Attend the yearly ACC Legislative Conference.
  • Attend ACC.27 next year In Houston, TX.Become an FACC. If you are graduating, continue your engagement with the College.

These are just a handful of the many opportunities available to FITs. If you have ideas or would like to get involved, we would love to collaborate with you. Please reach out to us at fellowsintraining@acc.org to share your interests, ideas and feedback.

JACC: Advances Calls For Research Addressing Health Equity in CV Care

JACC: Advances is inviting submissions for a special mini-focus issue dedicated to health equity, including original research, clinical trials, meta-analyses, research letters, viewpoints or position statements meant to advance scientific insight into health disparities, encourage meaningful community partnerships and help reduce inequities in patient outcomes. Submissions are due June 1 for a late 2026 publication date.

Get Ready For the World Cup With JACC: Case Reports Special Issue

It’s less than 100 days until FIFA World Cup 2026! Just like the World Cup brings together elite athletes from around the world, JACC: Case Reports is calling on clinicians across the globe to submit their most compelling patient cases and breakthrough moments. The kicker? The submissions must be based on a round object – whether it’s a diagnosis, mass, device, image finding or more! The top three papers will be featured in a special issue showcasing championship level cardiovascular care. Submit by April 10.
