AHA Late-Breaker: TRANSFORM-HF – Comparative Effectiveness of Torsemide versus Furosemide in Heart Failure: Primary Results

A new study examined a very common clinical question of which loop diuretic or water pill is better in patients living with heart failure - torsemide or furosemide? Prior studies suggested that torsemide might be better than furosemide but they had never been compared head-to-head in a large clinical trial. The TRANSFORM-HF trial compared these 2 therapies against each other.

In this interview, Robert J. Mentz MD and Laxmi Mehta MD, FACC discuss the primary findings of AHA Late-Breaker: TRANSFORM-HF – Comparative Effectiveness of Torsemide versus Furosemide in Heart Failure.
