New Faces, Shared Mission: ACC Names Next President, Vice President and Trustees
The ACC Board of Trustees (BOT) has approved the College's newest officers and trustees who will assume their roles in March 2026 following ACC.26 in New Orleans, LA. These new officers include:
- Roxana Mehran, MD, FACC (President)
- Hani K. Najm, MD, MSc, FACC (Vice President)
- Fred M. Kusumoto, MD, FACC (Trustee)
- Andrea L. Price, MS, RCIS, CPHQ, AACC (Trustee)
- Andreas Merkl (Public Member Trustee)
- Sanjay Gandhi, MBBS, MBA, FACC (Finance Committee Chair-Elect; Treasurer 2027-2030)
"Through the nominating process, the ACC is intentional in identifying leaders who reflect the entire cardiovascular care team and bring critical competencies and unique perspectives to the roles of president, vice president, and trustee," said Nominating Committee Chair and ACC Immediate Past President Cathleen Biga, MSN, MACC. "Next year's incoming new leaders bring a powerful blend of organizational insight, business acumen, and strategic leadership that will be vital in advancing ACC's role as the professional home for cardiology and ensuring progress on our strategic efforts to transform cardiovascular care worldwide."
