“The American College of Cardiology is encouraged to see results of the Committee’s hard work in putting a bipartisan bill together. We are especially encouraged to see implementation of a stable payment system that rewards quality. The College looks forward to working with the Committee to improve upon the proposed payment updates, adequate incentives for physicians to adopt appropriate use criteria (AUC), and encourage the routine collection of robust clinical data, through clinical registries.”

“We sincerely appreciate the Committee’s hard work in putting a bipartisan bill together. The Committee is on the right track and with a few tweaks, physicians and their patients will be left with a Medicare payment system that truly reimburses for high quality, patient-centered care.”
