The Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) just released a new expert consensus statement regarding pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) lead management and extraction. The document comprehensively reviews indications, best practices and procedure performance. In this hour-long webinar, the EP Member Section's Leadership Council will review the highlights from this new document, emphasizing changes from the 2017 expert consensus statement.

Key Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

1. Compare and contrast the risks and benefits of transvenous, leadless, and extravascular devices in various patient populations.
2. Understand the role of early extraction in patients with cardiovascular implantable electronic device (CIED) infections.
3. Explain the role of shared decision-making in patients considering a CIED.
