We are a young, vibrant section dedicated to adding value to Section members interested in Innovation across the cardiovascular spectrum. Our section is member-driven and focused on all aspects of health care innovation, including areas of broad focus career development, such as entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship and care pathway development; and more content specific areas, such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital health and digital twins.

Like any new venture, we take a deliverable-based approach to our focus areas. These deliverables vary based on the project leaders and include manuscripts, webinars and in-person events. Here are current focus areas for the Section:

  • Future Hub. This is a Hub on the Expo floor at ACC's Annual Scientific Session arranged and organized by a member taskforce from our Section. Please join us at our next Future Hub!
  • Innovation Initiatives across the ACC. We are seeking to identify and connect members with Innovation opportunities across the College.
  • Cross-Sectional Committee on AI. This is a work in progress! Our goal is to create a cross-sectional committee that will spearhead AI initiatives across all cardiovascular care.

If any of these opportunities piqued your interest, or if you have other ideas for the Heath Care Innovation Member Section, please reach out to me or Cecilia Araoz caraoz@acc.org. We hope that you will join us to advance our mission!

Sincerely,

Jennifer A. Silva, MD, FACC
