ACC CardiaCast: Future Directions in ATTR-CM Treatment
In this CardiaCast episode, Kevin M. Alexander, MD is joined by Sarah Cuddy, MBBCh, to discuss the latest clinical data for investigational therapies and available treatments for transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), as well as the potential implications of these findings on clinical practice and future clinical studies. First, they will explore results from CARDIO-TTRansform, the phase 3 trial of eplontersen in ATTR-CM, followed by the results from REVEAL, the phase 3 trial using radiotracer I-124 evuzamitide to detect cardiac amyloidosis. Next, they will discuss recently published studies describing the extracardiac effects of available therapies for ATTR-CM, specifically those describing the effects of acoramidis on kidney function and the effects of vutrisiran on gastrointestinal events.
This activity is supported by an educational grant from BridgeBio and developed by Med-IQ in collaboration with the American College of Cardiology.
