Cardiovascular disease (CVD), including heart diseases and stroke, account for one-third of deaths throughout the world, according to a study recently published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) that examined every country over the past 25 years. The analysis revealed that in 2015, more than 400 million individuals were living with CVD and nearly 18 million deaths were attributed to CVD worldwide.
