Welcome to the New ACC.06

We are thrilled to present the renovated and revitalized 55th Annual Scientific Session in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center, March 11 – 14, 2006!

ACC.06 will deliver the rigorous science and clinical relevance attendees expect every year, along with exciting changes designed to deliver that content effectively and efficiently for every attendee.

New Calendar
A New Schedule  The program now begins on Saturday and ends on Tuesday. You spend less time out of the office and enjoy the same vast educational and networking opportunities.

Grand Opening Session  A new opening session on Saturday, March 11, welcomes attendees to a groundbreaking Scientific Session.

New Content
Enhanced Spotlights  Spotlight Sessions are more targeted than ever to your clinical needs. ClinCard offers a “year in review,” followed by case presentations and board review-style education. Integrated Imaging merges the old Echo, CT/MRI and Nuclear Spotlights to create one session that mirrors the realities of clinical practice.

A Renewed Focus on Science  This year, key late-breaking clinical trials will be accepted early (on Dec. 5), giving you an exciting preview of the essential science to be presented at ACC.06.

New Connections
Celebrating the Cardiovascular Community  You’ll find this celebratory theme woven through ACC.06 education and events. Enjoy community rooms that allow you to network with your peers in five therapeutic areas, heart failure, EP, imaging, prevention and interventional cardiology.

Innovation in Intervention: i2 Summit 2006  A brand new event, designed to meet the educational needs of the interventional community, takes place alongside ACC.06. Offered in co-sponsorship with the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), i2 Summit offers unsurpassed evidence-based content, presented by leaders in their fields. Live satellite transmissions, computer-based learning and simulation training make the content innovative and interactive. Session topics range from Late-breaking Clinical Trials to practical percutaneous intervention techniques to reimbursement and coding issues.

The Exposition  Explore the most advanced developments in pharmaceuticals and devices with special industry education sessions on Saturday. An Exhibit Hall Opening Reception follows from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Exposition reinforces the ACC.06 community theme with a pavilion devoted to the needs of interventionalists, as well as simulation training for specific procedures and devices.
