Eagle’s Eye View: Redefining CV Subspecialty Training

In this week’s View, Dr. Eagle looks at a recent article on proposed changes to the current cardiovascular (CV) subspecialty training path. He then examines an article on a novel left atrium (LA) staging framework that stratifies new-onset atrial fibrillation risk in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Finally, Dr. Eagle explores the results of a Look AHEAD ancillary study on the inflammatory biomarker interleukin (IL)-6 that identified residual inflammatory risk of incident heart failure (HF) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and overweight/obesity.
