Tasha Phillips-Wilson, MD, MS

Professional Bio:

Dr. Tasha Phillips-Wilson is a first generation physician who aspires to a career in cardiology. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the ACC Medical Student Leadership Group and Project Leader of Medical Student DEI Initiatives. As a recent medical graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine, she is pursuing a Master of Public Health degree in Population and Health Sciences at The University of Michigan, her undergraduate alma mater. Dr. Phillips-Wilson is also alumna of Barry University where she earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Her motivation and personal statement,"Called to Care," regarding her pursuit of cardiology was published in the ACC's Cardiology Magazine in February 2022. She served as a 2023 Camp Cardiac panelist in collaboration with ACC's Young Scholar Program. Dr. Phillips-Wilson has presented clinical research at ACC and AHA Scientific Poster Sessions in addition to numerous other medical conferences. She is interested in Preventative Cardiology, Heart Failure, Hypertension, and advocates for DEI in Medicine.
