With the flu season continuing into May, it's important to remind patients there is still time to get vaccinated. Getting the necessary immunizations to protect against flu and COVID-19 is particularly important for adults with chronic conditions like heart disease. Research shows that patients are more likely to get a vaccine if their health care team recommends it. To facilitate the conversation, ACC's CardioSmart team has created a Vaccination Discussion Guide leveraging the cardiovascular care team's role in getting timely immunization.
