International
Service Award
Individual
who has demonstrated a commitment to medically developing
or underdeveloped countries, and, through his/her benevolent
actions, has provided a specific service to enhance cardiovascular
care and/or education in these countries. The award should
recognize service and should not be tied to leadership in
the international cardiovascular community. It should not
necessarily be awarded yearly, but only on an ‘as appropriate’
basis.
The
nominees will be solicited through the standard procedures
followed by the Awards Committee. The final list of nominees
obtained through this solicitation will be forwarded to the
International Committee who will recommend the recipient to
the Awards Committee/Board of Trustees.
