The ACC Cardiovascular Overview and Board Review for Certification and Recertification Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Study Session
Maximize your time in Chicago and earn up to 20 MOC credits with this optional, interactive study session in which ABIM-certified physician experts will guide participants through 60 case-based questions (30 questions per module, two modules) that comprise ACC’s General Cardiology Module 15 and ABIM's 2016 Cardiovascular Updates. This study session offers participants the opportunity to weigh evidence on a case-by-case basis and discuss options with faculty and fellow participants to identify the most appropriate answers to ABIM approved questions.
You must enroll in ABIM’s Maintenance of Certification Program (ABIM’s recertification program) to participate in this session for MOC Credit. ABIM Diplomates may enroll by visiting www.abim.org (Physician Login).
To earn 20 MOC points for attending this course, you must:
- Be enrolled in the MOC program with the ABIM.
- Access the ACC MOC module online via www.ACC.org. Access the ABIM module via www.abim.org. Each online module consists of the same 30 questions that were presented and discussed at the CV Board session. Detailed instructions about accessing these modules will be provided at the live course.
- Complete all 30 questions in each module and achieve a score of at least 70%.
- Once you have answered all 30 questions and obtained a score of at least 70%, a “Claim MOC” button will appear at the top of the screen on the Exam Summary page. If this link does not appear, it is likely that you did not receive a passing score of 70%.
- You may answer the questions as many times as necessary. To retake the exam, click the “Reset Score” link at the top of the Exam Summary page.
- Click the “Claim MOC” button and follow the instructions to transmit your data electronically to the ABIM. You will need to know your ABIM ID in order to transmit your scores. To verify that the ABIM received your data, visit their website (www.abim.org) and login to access your personal MOC status information.
This course is intended for general cardiologists preparing for Board recertification. Fellows in Training and cardiovascular care associates also may find this in-depth review of ABIM’s MOC knowledge-based content of value.
