Dabigatran Consistent in All Afib Forms

ACC 2011 — NEW ORLEANS -- No matter what form of atrial fibrillation a patient has -- paroxysmal, persistent, or permanent -- anticoagulant treatment with oral high-dose dabigatran (Pradaxa) appears to be better than warfarin therapy in preventing stroke or episodes of systemic embolism, researchers said here.
