FDA Issues New Drug Safety Recommendations for Citalopram Hydrobromide (Celexa)

The FDA has issued new drug safety recommendations for the antidepressant citalopram hydrobromide (Celexa).

New dosing clarifications warn about the potential for abnormal heart rhythms in patients takin more than 40 mgs a day. It also provides lower doses that should be used in patients older than 60. Read the full alert.
