On Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 8 a.m. ET, the second complex coronary case will be broadcast live from Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. On July 17, ACC kicked off the first of this series of live complex coronary cases, which will be streamed live from Mount Sinai’s catheterization lab at 8 a.m. ET on the third Tuesday of each month and can be found by visiting CardioSource.org.

On Aug. 21, physicians at Mt. Sinai will treat a 90-year old male with CCS angina class III and uncontrolled hypertension. The patient underwent catheterization on May 24, 2012, which revealed coronary artery disease, moderate left ventricular dysfunction and 95 percent right renal artery stenosis. After initially undergoing percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of the left renal artery and everolimus-eluting stent to circumflex-OM2, he still suffers from class II angina. He is now staged for percutaneous coronary intervention of calcified bifurcation lesions.
