ACC to Advance Health IT Interoperability at IHE Connectathon 2015

The ACC will join with more than 500 of the industry’s top engineers, information technology (IT) architects, and project managers to take part in five intense days of interoperability testing at the IHE North American (NA) Connectathon 2015. Set to take place at its new location in the Cleveland Convention Center and HIMSS Innovation Center in downtown Cleveland, OH, from Jan. 26 – 30, 2015, the IHE Connectathon provides an unparalleled opportunity for interoperability testing and problem resolution.

The IHE Connectathon has been an annual event with continued growth in the level and scope of participation. In 2015, the NA Connectathon looks to be even bigger and better offering unprecedented testing opportunities in new and emerging technologies.

The ACC is taking an active role in advancing health IT by sponsoring the Cardiology domain of IHE which brings together device vendors, health care providers and clinical software developers to find ways for patient data to smoothly flow between everyone involved in modern health care.

During this year’s Connectathon the ACC is providing technical project management and monitoring of the testing floor to ensure that problems between vendors are resolved in a timely fashion and a successful tests are completed.
