ACC Member Appointed to HHS/CMS Advisory Panel

Michael K. Schroyer, RN, MSN, MBA, AACC, has been appointed to serve on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)/Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment for a four-year term that started Jan. 14, 2015. The purpose of the Panel is to advise HHS and CMS on the clinical integrity of the Ambulatory Payment Classification groups and weights, and the supervision of hospital outpatient services. CMS considers the Panel's advice when preparing the proposed and final Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System rules each year. The ACC was proud to nominate Schroyer based on his extensive experience as a hospital administrator and CV Team member.
