ACC Around the World | In March, Serbia and the Republic of Srpska became ACC’s 34th International Chapter, and the first regional ACC International Chapter in formation. Milan Nedeljkovic, MD, FACC, past president of the Cardiology Society of Serbia, and Dusko Vulic, MD, FACC, president of the Society of Cardiology of the Republic of Srpska, first approached the ACC about establishing a regional International Chapter in 2014. With their vision and leadership, the Chapter became a reality one year later, and Nedeljkovic has been elected to serve as the inaugural Chapter Governor. ACC Past President William A. Zoghbi, MD, MACC, will be attending the 20th National Cardiology Congress of the Cardiology Society of Serbia in Nis this October where the Chapter will hold a reception and will officially be launched.
