ACC.16 Expo to Showcase the Largest Gathering of CV Products and Services

The ACC.16 Expo continues to be the largest gathering of innovative cardiovascular products and services, with more than 270 exhibiting companies and organizations showcasing the latest advances in the field. Attendees have a total of 19 hours to explore the Expo floor – including nine hours unopposed by education sessions. Industry representatives will be on-hand to provide an understanding of recent developments in pharmaceuticals, imaging, devices, technologies and services needed to provide high-quality patient care. The ACC.16 Expo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. today and tomorrow, and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday.

ACC Central
Design to represent the best of the College’s offerings and to highlight ACC member benefits, ACC Central provides comprehensive information on ACC’s new and ongoing quality initiatives, NCDR registries and research, self-assessment tools, live courses, membership opportunities, as well as ways to ensure practice viability and protect patient access. Also be sure to peruse the newly relocated Poster Presentation area behind ACC Central.

Specialty Areas
Don’t miss the Expo’s specialty areas, which group related exhibiting companies and organizations with similar products and services. Stop by the Health IT Pavilion to learn more about the adoption and implementation of health IT; the ACC International Chapters area to meet with representatives of ACC’s 26 chapters; the Interventional Pavilion to learn about groundbreaking interventional services and technologies; the Publishers Showcase which features medical texts, journals and other relevant materials, and more.

ENGAGE@ACC.16 Studio
New this year, the ENGAGE@ACC.16 Studio is a 200-seat theater with a 180-degree stage designed for audience participation will feature Simultaneous Sessions, a Cardiology Contest and an Ask the Experts session on valvular heart disease. The Studio will also host the Fellows in Training Jeopardy competition.

Industry-Expert Theaters
Presentations in the Industry-Expert Theaters (#24100 and #25078) will share the latest in cardiovascular practices, services and technologies while attendees enjoy refreshments or lunch. Lecture topics include updates in anticoagulation, treating patients with “stable” heart failure with reduced ejection fraction, and more.

Innovation Stage
The Innovation Stage (#24046), known for its relaxed setting and intimate format, will host 30-minute, focused discussions on topics including closing the gap on thrombotic events, treatment options for atrial fibrillation and more.

Interactive Learning Labs The hands-on Interactive Learning Labs (#13016 and #17021) will feature didactic presentations on advanced heart failure therapy, tools for real-time patient management, and more.

Sim Center
The Sim Center (#24062), which debuted at ACC.15, has expanded for ACC.16 and will once again provide attendees with a unique, highly interactive, virtual training experience. Attendees can interact with a virtual patient during eight clinical case presentations while utilizing guidelines and clinical evidence. Topics include aortic valve endocarditis simulation training, acute syndrome simulation training, and more.

Patient Engagement Pavilion
The Patient Engagement Pavilion (#24035) spotlights ACC’s commitment to quality patient-centered care by showcasing programs, tools, and resources which address the needs of both cardiovascular clinicians and patients. Presenters include Martha Gulati, MD, MS, FACC, editor-in-chief of CardioSmart, ACC’s patient education program, the 2015 “I am CardioSmart Winner,” Christian Jacobs, and more. Also learn more about the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, the College’s new accreditation arm, Mended Hearts and other patient-focused organizations.

Dining
Attendees will be provided with a number of accessible, healthy choices to stay fueled for important sessions and meetings throughout the conference. The Bistro ACC serves an all-inclusive buffet lunch with assorted menu options that change daily, while the Central Café provides a number of quick, to-go options.
