A new partnership between ACC and Outcome Health will provide CardioSmart patient-education materials to more than 40,000 practices and health systems across the country. As part of the collaboration, Outcome Health will incorporate CardioSmart resources into its digital health education offerings, including waiting room screens, patient tablets and interactive wallboards.

"Educating patients on their heart disease risk and the steps they can take toward preventing heart disease are among the highest priorities of the ACC," said Martha Gulati, MD, FACC, editor-in-chief of CardioSmart.org. "Through this partnership, we'll be able to extend our reach to patients in the Outcome Health network at most risk and give them the tools they need to live a heart healthy lifestyle."

In recognition of February's American Heart Month, the ACC and Outcome Health will kick off their partnership by deploying CardioSmart's high blood pressure resources to educate patients and providers about the recently released high blood pressure guideline.

Outcome Health's platform includes technologies such as the Exam Room Tablet, which can onboard patients to lifestyle management programs, as well as deliver interactive resources and health assessments to patients' pre-consultation. It also includes the Digital Wallboard, which offers access to 3D anatomical renderings for use during the consultation. On Outcome Health's Digital Wallboard, 3D anatomical renderings of the heart are used more than any other diagram during patient consultations with their health care provider.
