ACC’s Past President Leading ACC Delegation at Brazilian Congress of Cardiology

ACC Past President C. Michael Valentine, MD, MACC, is leading an ACC delegation to the 74th Annual Brazilian Congress of Cardiology from Sept. 20-22, in Porto Alegre-RS, Brazil. ACC members are contributing to the Transposition of Great Arteries and two joint sessions, covering the following topics:

  • Do We Need a National Cardiac Surgical Database?
  • The Best of ACC.19 - Trials & Guidelines that Change Practice STEMI Systems of Care
  • ST-Level Elevation AMI Patient Care - Best Practices in 2019 / STEMI Systems of Care
  • Same Day Discharge After PCI
  • Transposition of the Great Vessels / Transposition of Great Arteries

Members of the ACC delegation include Assembly of International Governors Chair Hani K. Najm, MD, MSC, FACC, and ACC Board Member Edward T. A. Fry, MD, FACC. The ACC and the Brazilian Congress of Cardiology have enjoyed a history of mutual collaboration over the last 10 years.
