Description and Purpose: This award recognizes accomplished young cardiologists who have successfully published a manuscript as a primary author from an NCDR funded research project. Eight travel awards will be provided to those were fellows in training at time of publication. Criteria for selection will include significance of manuscript topic, level of authorship, and publication source.

Eligibility: Applicants eligible for the award are those who:

  • Were primary author on a published NCDR manuscript between September 2016 and September 2017
  • Were or are an FIT at time of publication
  • Published a manuscript following an accepted application through NCDR's Research and Publications process

The Award: Travel expenses up to $2,000 will be provided for eight (8) awardees to attend NCDR.18 March 7-9, 2018 and ACC.18 March 10-12, 2018 in Orlando, FL. Reimbursable expenses include coach airfare, accommodations and meals.

Nomination Procedure: To apply, please submit a copy of your manuscript to Kristin Robertson at kroberts@acc.org along with the following information: your name, institution, training end date, manuscript title, journal name, publication date, level of authorship, primary/senior author (if not yourself) and co-authors.

Description: The ACC has made a select number of travel awards available to cover expenses for fellows in training (FITs) to travel to ACC’s 2017 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. The award provides funding for travel, lodging and other expenses to and from the Conference held Sept. 10 – 12, 2017.

Eligibility: All current FIT members are eligible to apply. Award recipients will need to receive confirmation that they are able to attend the conference from their training program director. No more than one award will be granted from any single training program.

The Award: Travel expenses will be reimbursed for travel, lodging and other expenses up to $1,000 for travel to and from ACC’s 2017 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, Sept. 10 – 12, 2017.

Eligibility: All current Early Career members are eligible to apply. Award recipients may not have received a legislative travel award in the past year.

The Award: Travel expenses will be reimbursed for travel, lodging and other expenses up to $1,000 for travel to and from ACC's 2017 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC Sept. 10-12, 2017.

Description: The ACC has a limited number of travel awards available to cover expenses for Cardiovascular Team members to travel to ACC’s 2017 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC. The award provides funding for travel, lodging and other expenses to and from the Conference held Sept. 10 – 12, 2017.

Eligibility: Eligibility is limited to Cardiovascular Team members of the ACC. Awardees will be selected via random drawing; however, no more than one CV Team member from a single state will receive an award.

The Award: Travel expenses will be reimbursed for travel, lodging and other expenses up to $1,000 for travel to and from ACC’s 2017 Legislative Conference in Washington, DC, Sept. 10 – 12, 2017.

Eligibility: All current ACC FIT members are eligible, except for FIT Council members. Preference will be given to first-time Travel Award recipients to ACC Scientific Sessions. Presenters and non-presenters at ACC.17 are both eligible. No more than one award will be granted from any single training program. Please note that if selected, we will need approval from your program director. 

The Award: Travel expenses will be reimbursed for airfare, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and other expenses up to $1,000 for travel to and from the 2017 Annual Scientific Sessions in Washington, DC March 17-19, 2017.

Eligibility: All current ACC PVD Section FIT members are eligible.  Preference will be given to first-time travel award recipients.  Presenters and non-presenters are both eligible.   Henry I. Russek Travel Awards for FITs and Medical Students
  Henry I. Russek Travel Awards for FITs and Medical Students

Description: The award honors Dr. Henry I. Russek, who served as director of the New York Cardiovascular Symposium, an ACC extramural program, for 25 years. The award provides funding for eight FIT members and five medical students from NJ, NY, or CT with an interest in cardiovascular medicine to attend this seminar held December 9-11, 2016 in New York City. Eligibility: All current ACC FIT members are eligible. No more than one award will be granted from any single training program. Medical Students from local New York City Medical Schools may also apply.

The Award: Eight FIT members of the ACC will receive reimbursement for travel expenses up to $1,250 each. FIT Awardees will also receive complementary registration to attend the New York Cardiovascular Symposium.

Five medical students from NJ, NY, or CT will receive reimbursement for travel expenses up to $800 each. Medical Student awardees will also receive complementary registration to attend the New York Cardiovascular Symposium.
