Professional Bio:

Professor in the Cardiology Division, UT Health Science Center, Houston. Interests are acute coronary syndromes, ischemic heart disease, coronary physiology, quality of care, performance measures, and outcomes research in all forms of cardiac interventions. Strong interest in data standards, machine based learning, and augmented intelligence. Undergraduate degree (Georgia Tech) and Masters degree (Stanford) both in electrical engineering and computer science. Over 20 years of editorial experience with major cardiovascular journals: Associate Editor of Circulation (1993-2004), Associate Editor of JACC-Interventions (2008-2017). Recipient of 2014 Distinguished Service Award from ACC.
