Samuel Kim, MD, FACC

Professional Bio:

Dr. Samuel Kim was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences and a Masters Degree in Health Care Policy and Management. For his medical training, he attended Harvard Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. After residency, Dr. Kim completed fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Kim specializes in preventive cardiology and lipidology, including additional clinical lipidology training during his fellowship at the Hospital for the University of Pennsylvania Lipid Disorders Program and Advanced Lipid Disorders Program of the Ciccarone Center at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He currently serves as the director of preventive cardiology in the division of cardiology at Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Kim is a diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and member of the National Lipid Association, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI). He has co-authored several chapters and papers in preventive cardiology.
