Michelle Kittleson, MD, PhD, FACC, is a Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai, Director of Education in Heart Failure and Transplantation, and Director of Heart Failure Research at the Smidt Heart Institute.


Medical Education in Academic Cardiology: Dr. Katie Berlacher
Kathryn Berlacher, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and Associate Chief of Education for the UPMC Heart Vascular Institute. She also serves as the Program Director for their Cardiovascular Fellowship Program as well as Director of their Women's Heart Program.

Mentoring, Guidance, and Direction: Dr. Marc Thames
Marc D. Thames, MD, is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University and former Chief of Cardiology, University Hospitals of Cleveland and the Joseph T. Wearn University Professor in Medicine at Case Western Reserve University; and Chief of Cardiology, Temple University Hospitals and the Florence P. Bernheimer Professor of Medicine, Temple University School of Medicine.

From the Bench to the Cath Lab: Dr. Nadia Sutton
Nadia Sutton, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor, interventional cardiologist, and vascular biologist in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center at University of Michigan.
