Welcome to the home of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Malaysia Chapter. During the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM) Annual Scientific Meeting on April 17, 2009, ACC Past-President Alfred Bove, MD, MACC officially launched this Chapter.
Even before the Chapter's launch, Malaysia has had a rich history of collaboration with the ACC, dating back to the early 1970s. In the early- to mid-1980s, Malaysia was privileged to host one of the first ACC training circuit symposia headed by ACC Past-President Elliot Corday, MD, MACC, and Kenneth Kent, MD, PhD, FACC. These close collaborations and physician exchange programs continued on until the late 1980s and 1990s, at which time Malaysia hosted more interventional teaching and other educational programs led by ACC members.
