Malaysia ChapterWelcome to the home of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Malaysia Chapter. During the American Heart Association Annual Scientific Meeting on April 17, 2009, ACC Past-President Alfred Bove, MD, MACC official launched this Chapter.

Before the Chapter's launch, Malaysia had a rich history of collaboration with the ACC, dating back to the early 1970s. In the early- to mid-1980s, Malaysia was privileged to host one of the first ACC training circuit symposia headed by ACC Past-President Elliot Corday, MD, MACC, and Kenneth Kent, MD, PhD, FACC. These close collaborations and physician exchange programs continued on until the late 1980s and 1990s, at which time Malaysia hosted more interventional teaching and other educational programs led by ACC members.

In the future, the Malaysia Chapter hopes to provide clinical education and networking opportunities for its members, become a champion of quality care initiatives, and help influence national legislative and regulatory efforts affecting practices and patients.
